SCOPE OF SERVICES:

Pacific’s Environmental team investigated soils, groundwater and soil vapours of a former greenhouse operation and automotive distribution centre. Contaminants of concern were pesticides, various petroleum hydrocarbons, solvents and metals. The investigations included intrusive investigation to characterize shallow and deep aquifers under the property. Highlighted tasks were modeling of groundwater contours and developing a conceptual hydrogeological model for the site.

BACKGROUND:

Historically, Ontario Greenhouses occupied the property from the 1930’s to the 1950’s. Subsequently, Chrysler Canada Ltd. operated a part distribution warehouse at the site from the mid 1950’s to post 2001. A movie studio occupied the buildings on the property in the early to late 2000s.
